This is my diploma.
The topic was all the terms I found important at the time, mixed together. It was also a search, what might come out of it.
After a long search (the brain, once it got a task, can work wonderfully in the background), this model came out.
It is basically a big scale balance, at each end hangs an aquarium, with fish (veiltails), these are connected with a hose (principle of connected vessels), and the user can lift one of the vessels with the steering wheel and thus also lower the other one. As the tanks are connected, the water level is regulated...
I saw a sculpture by Richard Deacon in Maastricht. Then I knew I had to do something like that. But it should also contain something (changeable) moving, besides that I had "the big glass" in my mind all the time by Marcel Duchamp.
